During your stay at the Hotel Marini in Sassari, depending on your preferences and especially on the length of stay, namely your availability, you will have the opportunity to indulge in various activities including horseback riding, mountain biking, a game of golf, Nordic walking.
Above all, around here there are many beautiful cities and breathtaking views of nature (in fact Fabrizio De André, the famous Italian singer and songwriter, said that if he could, he would have recommended to the good God to give man a paradise in the image and likeness of the typical Sardinian landscape).
Nuraghi. Sardinia is conspicuous in the presence of these mysterious relics from the past. You can even count seven thousand more to be found today. Obviously, however, dating back to very ancient times of the civilization of the Mediterranean Middle West, it is likely that many more should be found. Their name comes from the Nurra term, which means much but also place with cavities. Therefore suitable to describe and condense the characteristics of these constructions, built by accumulation of stones and having them in the cavity of a single room.
Alghero km 35. Along a path made of twisted olive trees and shaped by the wind, in an area not yet crowded by mass tourism, you can access this little Barcelona, such the Aragonese influence is still detectable in Alghero.
Stintino km 50. It's a little the North Cape of Sardinia, the point of departure and arrival to the Island of Asinara. A village born to accommodate the fishermen of the island, which was once used exclusively to provide prison, is now one of the most famous tourist spots of Sardinia, with its unforgettable beaches.
Porto Torres 25 km. In the beautiful Asinara Gulf is the most important port in northern Sardinia, the one that connects the mainland with its French cousins.
From here, heading east, you can embark on a journey made of pine forests, rocks overlooking a crystalline sea, arriving at about 100 kilometres of the route to Santa Teresa di Gallura, the cutting edge of the homonymous area, just so dear to De André, who acquired a farm and fell in love with the colours and products of our land.
In fact, as is quite obvious, that in the midst of all these routes you will always find fresh fish on the coast, donkey, pig and goat in the up-country, olive groves, cork trees, olive oil and fine wine.
